Refrigeration Design & Service, LLC (RD&S) is a design/build industrial refrigeration contracting firm based in metropolitan Philadelphia. We provide a full line of services to meet the needs of the industrial refrigeration marketplace. From its beginning as a local company, RD&S has grown to become an international team noted for excellence in meeting our customer’s needs. Our unique ability to design, fabricate, and construct site built or skid mounted industrial refrigeration systems sets us apart from other industrial refrigeration design/build firms and ensures on-time delivery of a superior product, designed, engineered and constructed by our in-house team of experts. Engineering
At RD&S, the quality is engineered into each project – from beginning to end. Comprised of Professional Engineers and Refrigeration Designers specializing in mechanical and electrical engineering, our Engineering Staff brings excellence to both design build projects and projects utilizing pre-designed industrial refrigeration systems. Our Engineering Team is professionally licensed in multiple states with the ability for reciprocity when the need arises.
Controls
RD&S manufactures custom UL approved electrical control panels and motor control centers for both standalone applications and as a supporting component to industrial refrigeration packages. We utilize the latest technological advances to provide our customers with the best possible solutions for their controls needs. A typical controls package consists of a PLC based system with remote monitoring with the opportunity to make adjustments to the system remotely over an ethernet connection.
Design / Build
RD&S has a clear competitive advantage—Our world class 32,000 sq ft facility in the Philadelphia Area allows us to prebuild skids for both specialty packages and large refrigeration projects. We have in-house booms, cranes, lifts, and lulls that allow for ease of construction right at the shop, with our Engineering Team just a few steps away at all times – this allows the entire RD&S Team to work closely throughout the entire project, from vision to design, through fabrication, to construction. The result? Efficient refrigeration systems, lower installed costs, and a far less eventful commissioning process.
Service / Parts
We have the in-house ability to provide technical services that meet the most complex needs of industrial refrigeration systems—from simple mechanical repairs, to analytical services and system commissioning. We also can supply parts and maintenance materials from any of the suppliers in the industry. RD&S is one of the largest Frick Factors in the United States and is capable of servicing your system in any capacity. Whether you want to repair the system yourself or have our team maintain your system for you, RD&S has got you covered.
